We are recruiting a new Chairperson
The National Association for Patient Participation (N.A.P.P.), the national voice for patient participation in Primary Care, is looking to recruit a new Chairperson. The outgoing Chairperson, Dr Folarin Majekodunmi is stepping down after serving a 3-year term
Recent developments, several linked to the ongoing pandemic, reinforce the importance of the patient voice in informing local, regional and national decision-making. This is an exciting opportunity to lead N.A.P.P, represent the voices of Patient Participation Groups at a national level and to influence the transformation of patient involvement within Primary Care.
The role of Chairperson, as leader of the board of trustees, will be central to enabling N.A.P.P to respond proactively and appropriately to a number of emerging issues including: the ongoing Covid pandemic, changes in General Practice, changes in data protection rules/ regulations and the formalisation of Integrated Care Systems. This will require a good understanding of Patient Participation Groups (PPGs), emerging policy, the wider socio-demographic context and the organisations that are responsible for delivering health and care services across the United Kingdom.
The role is not remunerated, but expenses are reimbursed.
Applications must be received no later than Fri Oct 21st 2021.
