National Patient Participation Week is a significant event that focuses on the importance of patient engagement, communication, and involvement in healthcare decision-making.

National Patient Participation Week / PPG Awareness Week 2025

Launched in 2013, this is the twelfth year of N.A.P.P.’s Patient Participation Awareness Week and builds on the many successes achieved by PPGs – some of which we were able to share at The Corkill Awards. The Awards will be launched this year during PPG Awareness Week. We look forward to receiving your applications.  This week aims to highlight again the importance of patient participation in achieving excellence in care for all patients.  Also, it aims to promote the role and benefits of PPGs to patients, the public and health professionals and to create more understanding of the value of true patient participation. We look forward to hearing about PPG activities to raise awareness of your groups, that ensure patients’ perspectives are at the heart of primary care, driving up quality and safety.
